This site has been tailored to suit the management of building projects, however it could easily be used to manage other types of projects (as the tasks involved in project management are similar regardless of the type of project that is being managed).
This webpage is the only one in this site that's visible to the public. Access to other pages requires a username and password with the appropriate security clearance.
This page is typically used to provide an overview of the activities of each team and to direct visitors to the information they need. However we will use it to tell you about the features of this site.

Features of this website
Public Webpages
This site currently has only one public page (this one) but you can add as many as you want.
Four Project Spaces
This website has been set up to handle 4 seperate projects. Each project has been set up with a number of webpages and folders into which all types of files can be placed (.doc, .pdf, .txt, .xls, .zip, .exe, .htm, .mdb etc.).
Fully Expandable and Customisable
You can add more webpages and folders as needed or delete the ones you don't need. (As well as change the names and content of existing ones.) You can also add as many more project spaces as you need. The content for each project uses a standard structure (folders and webpages) which can be changed to suit the standards used in your organisation. The content is intended to give an idea of the types of information that can be contained within a site. (Project 1 has been populated with a number of sample files, while the folders in the other projects each only contain a single file.)
Three Built-in Access Levels (Security Roles)
Simply have your project team members register with the site and then you allocate the appropriate level of access to them. There are 3 levels of access (known as Security Roles):
Project_Manager.
Has full access to everything in the project space.
- Project_Team.
Has read, create, edit and delete access to the entire project space except for the Financials folder (to which they have no access).
- Project_Reader.
Has read access to the entire project space including the Financials folder. This access level is useful for Stakeholders.
There is an additional Webmaster role that has total control over all aspects of the site including the creation of new projects and Security Roles.
Unlimited Additional Access Levels (Security Roles)
You can further customise your project space by creating as many additional Security Roles as you require. If, for example, you want certain staff to have access to the Standards & Procedures documents but not to anything else then you can create a Security Role that only has read permission to that folder. SiteCatalog consultants can help you clarify and implement your customised security requirements (additional charges apply).
Fine Granularity Access Levels
Documents that you place in a folder will automatically inherit the security settings (access levels) that have been specified for the folder. But you can change the security settings on individual documents and webpages if needed - even down to the individual member rather than having to create a new Security Role. This gives you total control over your security requirements.
Simple
Even though there are 4 project spaces on this site members will see only those projects, folders, files and webpages that they've been given access to - they wo n't even know anything else exists. This keeps things simple for your team members.
Training
Purchase of this website comes with two hours training for up to 3 people at a time. Training can be done over the phone or at our premises in Sydney (Or at your premises for an additional charge.) Additional training can be purchased from SiteCatalog.
Take a Look Self-Guided Tour
You can take a look around at the site by clicking on the "Member Area" link or clicking here and signing in with:
Username: sitecatalog
Password: sitecatalog
This member has been given read access to all the projects, so you'll be able to see everything but you won't be able to edit anything. Once you sign in you'll notice that there are 4 new links (for Projects 1-4) on the left of the page.
Project 1 has been populated with a number of typical project documents and is the best one to visit. The folders in Projects 2, 3 & 4 have only have one example document.
Our Teams
[Depending on the nature of your projects you may not want to have any details about your projects made public - therefore remove this section.]
To access a Project Area you must be a registered member for the team. Contact the project leader for further instructions.
